Private by design
Chart Buffet has no server that could receive your data. Parsing, charting and exporting all run in your browser, so your table never leaves your device — you can switch off your connection after the page loads and keep working.
How we keep it private →Questions
Is Chart Buffet free?
Yes. Every chart type, style and export format is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The site is paid for by advertising.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Your data is read and charted by code running in your own browser. It is never sent to Chart Buffet or to anyone else. If you leave, your current chart is kept only in this browser’s storage so it is there when you return, and you can clear it with one click.
What can I paste?
Anything shaped like a table: cells copied from a spreadsheet, CSV or TSV text, or JSON. You can also open .csv, .tsv, .json, .xlsx, .xls and .ods files.
How does it choose a chart?
It looks at what each column holds — dates, labels or numbers — how many categories and series there are, whether values are negative, and whether they add up to a whole. Then it ranks the chart types that suit that shape, and tells you why.
Can I use the charts commercially?
Yes. The charts you make are yours, for reports, slides, articles, coursework or anything else.
